Taking the idea to the screen

Every cool idea starts somewhere, and that’s exactly how it was with us. 💡

We wanted to create something that radiates positive vibes and brings our Staytoo community together.🤙

It was in May 2023 that the idea came up: Why not make a music video for STAYTOO? 🤔 After a little research, it was clear that this would be a prime example in our industry. So we thought — why not us? 😎

Quick fact: Brands such as Coca-Cola and Bitburger have always used music videos to express their emotions. That was our main argument when we presented the idea to the team.

Then it was down to the nitty-gritty: we had to come up with the story. 📜

The big question: What do we want to show? It was clear that the problem for many students is the lack of living space — so that’s exactly what we wanted to address.

The story was quickly born: a student moves from LA to Berlin to study and, of course, to find a place to live.🔑🏙️

We were inspired by the series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. Will had to face new challenges in LA — and our student in Berlin had to master the challenge of finding an apartment in the same way. Doesn’t it fit? 👌

BIZZAIR popped into our minds for the lead role. His look, manner, and style fitted our vision perfectly. One phone call, and he was in: “Sure, I’m in!”🎤

The next step was to create the beat for the music video. We worked with Aidan and the team to develop and tweak the lyrics until they were perfect. Aidan recorded the vocals in his studio in LA and sent us the finished track. 🎧

Then it was time for the storyboard and script. Thanks to our employees, we were able to prepare and finalize everything quickly. ✔️

We didn’t want a boring “look how cool we are” music video, but to tell a story that is relatable for students.

Once everything was organized, it was time for action! 🎬

The shoot went smoothly, and the result is really impressive. We are proud of our first music video, which tells a story that students can identify with.

Sitting all alone in this lil cafe
On the phone all day tryna find a place to stay

Its called “StayToo and it’s where you belong
A community of dreamers where you can be strong

Now I’m happy that I got the chance to turn you around”

So I grabbed my suitcase and we started the trek
saw the StayToo sign on the side of the complex
Open up the door to a community space
Play some fooseball, beer pong, and I hit the weights.

Ugh head to the rooms lemme see the inside
Fully furnished and the shower is nice
What’s the rent like, and where do I sign up?
That cheap looks like I’m in luck.

Ey, yo at staytoo neighbors are family, we ain’t throwing shade no canopies,
late night talks don’t forget the meals,
community is thriving, let me tell you how I feel,
I Feel great now that I found family,
I’m at Staytoo living life lavishly,
in the heart of the city where I can follow my dreams
